Terms of Service.
These Terms govern your use of hamanit.org and any service Haman IT Solutions ("HAMIT", "we") provides to you ("you", "the client"). By using the site or engaging us for work, you agree to these Terms.
Services
HAMIT provides IT support and repair, custom PC builds, business websites, and AI consulting and automation. Specific deliverables, timelines, and pricing for each engagement are set out in a written quote you receive before any billable work starts. The quote — together with these Terms — forms the agreement between us.
Quotes and pricing
Quotes are valid for 30 days. Hourly rates and starting prices listed on this site are good-faith estimates for typical work; actual cost depends on scope. We will never bill more than the quoted amount without your written approval first. If a job materially changes scope mid-way, we'll stop, send a revised quote, and only continue with your approval.
Payment terms
- Hourly work: billed after completion. Invoice due in 14 days.
- Project work (builds, websites, AI engagements): 50% deposit due before work begins, 50% due on delivery. Invoices are due in 14 days unless otherwise stated.
- Late payments may incur a 1.5%/month finance charge after 30 days past due.
- We accept card, ACH, Zelle, or check.
Workmanship warranty
We warrant our workmanship for 30 days after delivery. If something fails because of work we performed, we'll fix it at no additional charge. Hardware and third-party software are covered by their manufacturer warranties — we'll help you file claims, but the underlying coverage is theirs, not ours. Websites include 14 days of free post-launch tweaks; beyond that, ongoing care is available as a separate engagement.
Client responsibilities
- You are responsible for backing up your data before any service. We back up where practical, but we are not a substitute for your own backups.
- You confirm you own or are authorized to use any hardware, accounts, credentials, or content you ask us to work with.
- You agree to provide timely access, decisions, and feedback. Project timelines pause while we are waiting on you.
Intellectual property
Once a project is paid in full, all custom work product (website code, design files, automation configs, build documentation) is yours. We retain the right to: (a) reuse generic, non-confidential techniques and components in other projects, and (b) display non-confidential portfolio examples of completed work unless you ask us in writing not to.
Confidentiality
We treat anything non-public you share with us — credentials, business information, project details, internal processes — as confidential. We will not disclose it except as needed to do the work, or where required by law.
Limitations
We do our best, but we do not guarantee that every problem can be fixed, every part will arrive on time, or every website will achieve a specific business outcome. Our total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (e.g., gross negligence or willful misconduct).
Termination
Either party may end an engagement at any time with written notice. You'll be billed for work performed up to the termination date. Ongoing retainers are month-to-month and can be canceled with 7 days' notice — no penalty.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. We'd much rather resolve any disagreement directly than involve courts, so disputes follow this ladder:
- Talk to us first. Email support@hamanit.org describing the issue. We'll respond within 5 business days and try to resolve it in good faith.
- Mediation. If informal discussion doesn't resolve it within 30 days, either party may request non-binding mediation in Harris County, Texas. We'll split the mediator's fee 50/50.
- Courts. If mediation doesn't resolve it, any remaining dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and both parties consent to that exclusive jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking emergency injunctive relief in court when reasonably necessary to protect rights.
Changes
If we update these Terms materially, we'll bump the "Last updated" date and post the new version here. Continued use of the site or services after the change constitutes acceptance.
