Privacy Policy.
Haman IT Solutions ("HAMIT", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. It applies to hamanit.org and any services we provide directly.
What we collect
We collect only what's needed to respond to you and deliver our services:
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, the service you're asking about, and the message you send.
- Direct communication: emails, calls, or messages you send us.
- Service-related data: if you become a client, we store the information needed to do the work — invoices, project notes, hardware lists, account credentials you've explicitly shared with us.
What we don't collect
- We do not run a third-party analytics tracker — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom. We do not collect aggregate page-view statistics from this site.
- We do not use advertising or tracking pixels.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing.
- We do not store payment card numbers — payments are processed by our payment providers.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and follow up on the work you asked about.
- To deliver, support, and bill for any services you engage us for.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
Third parties that may receive your data
This site is intentionally light on third-party services, but a few are involved:
- Formspree processes contact-form submissions and forwards them to us. Their handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages (a Microsoft service) hosts the site itself. Your IP address and basic request data are visible to GitHub when you load any page.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces (Space Grotesk, Space Mono) we use across the site. Your browser fetches them directly from
googleapis.comandgstatic.com, which means Google receives your IP address and the page you're loading. - jsDelivr CDN serves a JavaScript carousel library on a single project page (
/projects/network-scanner.html). Your IP and referrer are visible to jsDelivr only on that page. - Email and project records: our email and engagement notes live on encrypted, password-protected systems. We retain records for the lifetime of the engagement plus up to seven years for tax and accounting purposes, then they're deleted.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not set any cookies on this site. We do use a small amount of first-party browser storage:
localStorage["hamit-theme"]remembers your light/dark theme choice across visits. Persists until you clear it.sessionStorage["hamit-booted"]tracks whether you've already seen the intro animation in this tab, so we don't replay it. Cleared automatically when you close the tab.
Both are first-party preferences only — not used to track or identify you, and not shared with anyone.
Your rights
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email support@hamanit.org and we'll respond within 30 days. Texas residents have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act; California residents under the CCPA. Both are honored on request regardless of jurisdiction.
Children
Our services are aimed at adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and bump the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will also be announced via email if you're an active client.
