How fast can you actually respond?
Same-day reply most of the time. Most messages get a real human answer within 2-4 hours. Urgent issues — laptop won't boot, malware lockout, deadline-blocking website bug — get prioritized and we'll usually have a remote session scheduled the same day.
What's your service area for on-site visits?
Greater Houston — Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land, Richmond, Pearland, Spring, Houston proper, and surrounding cities. No travel fee within ~25 miles of Katy. Beyond that we can usually still come out for a small mileage charge, or we handle it remotely. Remote support works anywhere with internet.
Do you charge for diagnosis or quoting?
No. The first 15 minutes of remote diagnosis is free. After that, you'll get a fixed quote before any billable work starts — if you don't want to move forward, you don't pay anything. PC build quotes and website project quotes are always free.
Can I supply my own parts for a build or repair?
Absolutely. If you've already bought parts (or want to), we'll work with what you have and only charge the build/repair fee. We'll flag anything that's a bad fit or known to fail before we start, so you're not stuck with a part that won't work for your use case.
What's your warranty policy?
30-day workmanship warranty on every repair and PC build — if it stops working because of something we did, we'll fix it free. Hardware failures fall back to the manufacturer warranty, which we'll help you process. Websites get 14 days of free post-launch tweaks before optional ongoing care kicks in.
How do payments work?
Card, ACH, Zelle, or check — whichever you prefer. Hourly work is billed after the job. Project work (builds, websites) takes a 50% deposit upfront and 50% at delivery. No invoices for work we haven't done; no auto-renewing charges anywhere.
Mac, PC, Linux — do you handle all of them?
All three for software, network, and general support. Custom builds are PC/Linux territory — Macs aren't user-buildable, but we can spec and configure them, migrate data, set up your environment, and handle peripherals.
Do you do contracts or just one-off work?
Both. Most clients start with a single project or repair, then move to a light monthly retainer once they realize they want a phone number to call when something breaks. No long-term lock-in — retainers are month-to-month and you can cancel any time with no penalty.
Do you sign NDAs for business work?
Yes. We treat anything non-public you share — credentials, business processes, project details — as confidential by default, but if your business needs a signed NDA before we look at anything, send it over and we'll review and sign before the first call. No charge for the review.
How is hourly time tracked and billed?
The first hour is billed as a full hour. After that, additional time is rounded up to the nearest 15 minutes — so a 1-hour-10-minute job is billed at 1.25 hours, not 2. You'll always get an itemized invoice showing what time was spent on what.
